Breaking Down (for) Breaking Dawn

By: Stady Canton

Honestly, I'm not sure if I should be writing this. I could wait for the report from my friends who went to the release party at Changing Hands last night.  But I can't--my seams are stretched enough--I have to get this out there now.

Here's why:

Bella finally persuades Edward to make her a vampire. After this successful transformation, Jacob confronts her, cursing her for becoming his (im)mortal enemy. Bella, with no hesitation, slaughters Jacob. Edward is horrified by the monster he's created out of his love, and succeeds in a second suicide attempt much like the first one in the series. Bella, having followed him to Italy, tries to take out as many of Edward's killers as she can. Bella dies in the battle and the Romeo-Juliet theme is complete.

That's what I would like to read, anyway. Does anyone out there recommend I borrow a copy to find out how Stephanie Meyer did it?

LOL I read the book yesterday in 11 hours, and that is not how Stephanie Meyer did it! You should definitely get the book and read it! I loved it!!!!!!!!

After reading where Bella kissed Jacob on the mountain in the 3rd book, I hoped Edward would bite her and drop her off in the middle of the werewolves' tribal grounds. It is my understanding as Meyer put it for the immediate present after turning into a vampire the need to feed is too strong to control and impossible to satiate. Therefore, Jacob would be forced to kill Bella in order to save his tribal family and kill himself out of misery with having made such a tremendous choice. Edward of course would be saddened temporarily but as any sane vampire would realize, there are plenty of fish in the sea and waiting means nothing to a vampire!

My husband's youngest sister has the book. We were tormenting her by reading phrases from various locations in the book. It was way too much fun. I'll read it at some point, but I"m pretty sure I already know how it ends (especially since we read the last sentence or so.)

Oh, Starfoxy, I wish I'd seen this before going to a friend's house Monday night--I can only imagine all the fun I missed out on because she wasn't finished either. On the other hand, maybe it's better for the friendship this way.
